What you get
- A checked chase plan. It opens with a summary of your position: how much is overdue, how late it is, who owes the most and what to do first. Then it lists every overdue invoice on your list, grouped by client, in the order to chase them, with the next step for each. A person checks the dates and amounts against your file and points out anything that looks wrong, such as duplicate rows or missing due dates.
- A reminder email draft for each client. One email per client covering all their overdue invoices, worded for how late they are, ready for you to edit and send from your own email, in your own name.
- Statutory interest and compensation for UK and Irish invoices. Where the law applies, the late-payment interest and fixed compensation you may be able to claim, worked out invoice by invoice under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (UK) or the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2012 (Ireland). Your contract may set different terms.
Everything comes back to you by email, as files you keep. A person reviews every pack before it is sent.
It is a good fit if your list is long or messy, you want the late-payment interest worked out and checked, or you would rather have a person prepare it all for you.
The free Overdue Invoice Rescue tool does the sums for you in your browser. The Rescue Pack is for when you would rather send us your export and get back a plan a person has checked.
USD 49, one-off
For business invoices only. The Rescue Pack is sold only to businesses, including sole traders, for invoices your business has issued to other businesses. It is not for consumers. When you pay, you confirm you are buying for your business and give your business name and, if you have one, your VAT number.
Card checkout opens shortly. Questions in the meantime? Email hello@paidbrook.com.
You pay by card through Paystack, a payment processor. Paidbrook never sees your card details. The price is charged in US dollars; if your card is in another currency, your bank converts it at its own rate. No VAT is added at checkout. If your business is in the UK or the EU, you may need to account for VAT yourself under the reverse charge.
By buying, you agree to the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy.
How it works
- Pay by card through Paystack. Your payment reference is on your payment receipt.
- Email your overdue list from your business email address to hello@paidbrook.com, with the subject "Rescue Pack - <your payment reference>". What to send.
- We check it and reply within 24 hours with your pack. A person reviews your list. If something we need is missing, we email you to say what, and the 24 hours start once we have a usable file.
- You review the drafts and send them yourself, from your own email, in your own name. Paidbrook never contacts your clients.
Already paid? Send your file
If you have just paid, thank you. Here is how to send your list.
- Send to: hello@paidbrook.com, from your business email address. We send your pack back to the address you email from.
- Subject: "Rescue Pack - <your payment reference>". The reference is on your payment receipt. If you can't find it, tell us the email address you paid with instead and we will match your payment.
- In the email: your business name, your VAT number if you have one, and, if you know it, whether your contracts follow UK law, Irish law or another country's law.
- Attach: your overdue-invoice list, without a password.
Files we accept
- Excel (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv) files.
- An aged receivables (aged debtors) report exported from Xero or QuickBooks, as .xlsx or .csv. Choose the detailed version, which lists each invoice on its own row, not the summary by client.
- Your own invoice list or tracker. Old .xls and Numbers files need saving as .xlsx or CSV first.
What to include, and what to leave out
Please send only what we need. For each overdue invoice, include:
- the client's name or business name;
- the invoice number;
- the due date (or the days overdue), and the invoice date if you have it;
- the amount and the currency (if the file doesn't show the currency, tell us in your email);
- optionally, the client's accounts email address, so each draft is ready to address.
Leave out bank details (yours and your clients'), personal notes about clients and anything about individuals' private lives. If your export has columns we don't need, delete them before sending. Each draft has a space for how your clients should pay; you add your own payment details before you send it.
What we do with your file
- A person reviews it.
- We use it only to prepare your pack.
- We never use it to contact your clients. Paidbrook does not email, call or write to them.
- We delete your file and the pack within 7 days of delivery, when the refund window closes.
Save the pack when it arrives: once it is deleted, we can't send it again. Our Privacy page has the details.
Refunds
- Before delivery: a full refund any time, for any reason.
- Within 7 days after delivery: a full refund if you are not satisfied with the pack. No questions asked.
- Late delivery: if we don't deliver your pack within 24 hours of receiving a usable file, you can ask for a full refund.
- No file after 30 days: if no usable file reaches us within 30 days of your payment, we refund you in full automatically.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Paystack. To ask, email hello@paidbrook.com. The details are in our Refund Policy, and the full terms are in our Terms of Service.
Questions
Do you contact my clients?
No. Paidbrook prepares a plan and drafts; you send them yourself from your own email, in your own name.
Can I just use the free tool?
Yes. The free Overdue Invoice Rescue tool gives you your overdue total, who to chase first, a reminder draft for each client and UK or Irish statutory interest, all inside your browser, and your file never leaves your device. The Rescue Pack is for when you would rather a person checked your list and prepared the files for you.
Who can buy it?
Businesses only, including sole traders and freelancers buying for their business. It is for invoices your business has issued to other businesses. We don't sell to consumers.
Can you promise my clients will pay?
No. You get a checked plan and clear, polite drafts; whether and when a client pays is up to them.
Is this legal advice?
No. The figures are worked out from the file you send and the published statutory rates. Your contracts may set different terms, so check the figures against your own records before you claim anything.
What if my file is messy or incomplete?
Send it anyway. If something we need is missing, we email you to say what, and the 24 hours start once we have a usable file.
